ASP <Active Server Pages>
ASP is a server-side programming paradigm similar to PHP and JSP. It is an object-oriented standard developed by Microsoft that employs the use of either VBScript, JScript, or PerlScript for actual language syntax. Although it can be deployed on Unix-based and Linux-based Apache Web Servers utilizing Chilisoft, ASP is most useful in Web applications that take advantage of Microsoft's Internet Information Server (IIS) and other Microsoft utilities like Access databases and SQL Server. |
