The top question we've been hearing from our customers these past couple of months is "Is there anything we do about all the spam we're getting?" Well, at Ellanet we've been working diligently to be able to provide you with the following answer to that question: Yes. Unsolicited Commercial Email (spam) has undoubtedly grown to become a problem of epidemic proportions. Studies show that its volume has consistently increased to the point where spam is now estimated to account for more than half of all emails sent.
Spam usually contains unwanted and inappropriate images and content, as well as computer viruses deceptively disguised to ensnare the less technically savvy among us. The US Government and even Microsoft are beginning to take legal courses of action against spammers, but in the meantime, Ellanet is providing you with a new weapon to help shoot down unwanted email. By the way, did we mention we're offering it for free?
Conventional anti-spam remedies have been either too lenient, allowing much of the spam to get through, or too restrictive, blocking legitimate email from getting through to you. The difficulty comes in striking the right balance between the two. Ellanet has been working hard to achieve this balance and we're rolling out an anti-spam filtering service available to all of our current clients at NO EXTRA COST! Ellanet customer Mark Slatter at Maximum Communications volunteered to be our beta tester for this project, and had the following to say:
"The difference is unbelievable! I used to come in after the weekend and spend hours downloading my email - and 99% of it was spam. Now, I come in, fire up my pc, have a cup of coffee and I'm ready to go. Thanks Ellanet!" To sign up for this complimentary service, simply send us an email indicating that you would like us to begin filtering spam from your email. Don't forget to tell us who you are! |
